Lead the Commonwealth Fund’s work connecting U.S. health leaders with evidence and experience from other countries. Direct grantmaking, benchmarking, and the Harkness Fellowships; cultivate a network of 300 senior policymakers and health leaders; and serve as Special Advisor for Culture and Values.
Avalere Health · Managing Director, 2004–2020
Built Avalere’s sales and account-management function, leading more than 50 people and overseeing approximately $45 million in sales. Created a commercialization and regulatory strategy capability spanning market access and reimbursement, FDA and regulatory affairs, and health economics and outcomes research.
BOARD & PUBLIC LEADERSHIP
As vice chair of Fountain House’s board, I help guide an organization working at the intersection of mental health and community. I have testified before the U.S. Senate Finance Committee and brought leaders from government, business, philanthropy, healthcare, research, and advocacy into shared work.
HOW I THINK ABOUT CHANGE
Health outcomes reflect the systems that produce them. Evidence helps only when people and institutions can use it. Learning from other countries means adapting what works, not copying it.
